Steven Tijerina

Steven Tijerina is a Physical Therapist at Goodlife Physical Therapy in Orland Park, IL. He was born and raised in the south suburbs of IL. He has a passion working with patients suffering from orthopedic, neurologic, and vestibular impairments. Dr. Tijerina believes that every patient should receive the highest level of care possible, and believes that every patient should be treated like close family with personalized one-on-one care.
Steven graduated from Governors State University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. After graduating from school, Dr. Tijerina has pursued specialized training for the rehabilitation of patients with Parkinson’s Disease and vestibular disorders. He completed a competency-based program for vestibular rehabilitation endorsed by the American Physical Therapy Association and is certified to use the LSVT-BIG program, a method designed to help treat patients with Parkinson’s Disease. Dr. Tijerina has also completed certification in the MDT approach (McKenzie Method) to treat spinal and extremity pain.
Dr. Tijerina also treats male pelvic dysfunction and pain. He has completed training with Herman and Wallace and with the Integrative Pelvic Care (IPC) Framework. Steven is passionate about helping men recover from post-surgical pelvic dysfunction and the various forms of pelvic and penile pain.
Apart from treating patients, Steven loves to spend his free time outdoor hiking and serving his community. Dr. Tijerina enjoys hosting patient support groups and community workshops to help educate the South Suburban Community. Dr. Tijerina also uses his free time to help educate other physical therapists on Vestibular rehab, acting as a Lab instructor and Course Liaison for a Physical Therapist Education Company.
